We recently visited Chop Steakhouse in Toronto and found the food to be excellent. The quality of the dishes, presentation, and flavors were all impressive and easily the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the service was a different story. There was a very noticeable difference between the female and male staff members. The female staff were friendly, attentive, efficient, and professional, providing the level of service one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. In contrast, several male staff members appeared disorganized, confused, and lacking confidence in their roles, which negatively affected the overall dining experience. Another significant disappointment was the red wine service. The wine was served far too warm and required additional chilling before it became enjoyable to drink. For a steakhouse, proper wine temperature is a basic expectation and something that should receive more attention. Overall, Chop Steakhouse offers excellent food, but inconsistent service and poor wine handling detract from the experience. While the meal itself was very enjoyable, the overall experience was not strong enough to make us want to return.

We had an amazing experience at this steakhouse. We had a small private gathering, and from the moment we arrived, the staff made sure we were well taken care of. Even though they were busy and we called at the last minute for a reservation, they were kind enough to accommodate us and found a table, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely outstanding. The freshly baked bread and everything served with it were delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, exactly the way we requested. The cauliflower salad was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, the pork chops were tender with a perfect balance of sweetness, and the shrimp were cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with exceptional food and outstanding service. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steakhouse.

Went for happy hour with my friend and it was amazing. Hostess was very sweet and sat us at a cute booth table. Very beautiful restaurant with great tasting food and drinks. Really recommend the Birria spring rolls, so innovative and yummy! Our server Chris was very attentive and had good recommendations. Will be back!

We started with the sparkling sangria and the cherry blossom mojito. the sangria was a perfect mix of sweet, sour and slightly fizzy. the basil added a nice fresh earthiness to it. the cherry blossom mojito was slightly sour with hints of mint. both were delicious, not too boozy with the right amount of sweetness and flavour. we both recommend the sangria. my partner started with the shrimp cocktail, 6 pieces. he said it was delicious. i started with the caesar salad. the garlic-bread-style croutons were so tasty. I got the regular sized roast beef with mashed potatoes and the steamed asparagus, and added the yorkshire pudding. At first i couldnt justify spending $4 on a yorkshire pudding until i saw the size of it. it was huge, light and airy. it came with a side of au jus that went beautifully with the pastry. The mashed potatoes were soft and creamy with some garlic and black pepper that made it a perfect accompaniment for the roast beef. the horseradish was sour and spicy. some of the asparagus was slightly spicy and others were a bit less flavourful, but overall they were cooked well. the roast beef was cooked to a perfect medium, not too fatty but still juicy and was seasoned perfectly. the au jus paired well with it. my partner had one of the special steak cuts, i believe it was the 9oz tenderloin. it was seasoned well, tender and juicy. he paired it with the baked potato and sauteed mushrooms. the mushrooms were nice and soft seasoned lightly. our server, chris was amazing. super enthusiastic and was very helpful in deciding our menu and overall just made the night even better. overall the price at the end was not too crazy and we had a great time. will definitely be back.

We had a great time celebrating Father’s Day. The food was fantastic. We got the Butcher’s Board and a couple of appetisers and some drinks. Service was excellent. Chris B and the manger made us feel very at home. Thank you both for a great time. We will be back.
