We really enjoyed our brunch here. Igor was an attentive and knowledge server who made excellent meal recommendations. I enjoyed the lobster Benny, while my husband had the steak and eggs. The brioche bread appetizer was the show stopper. Food is on the rich side and we found ourselves taking half our meal back to our hotel to enjoy later.
It was my last day at Vancouver and had a wonderful dinner with my friend at Riley’s. The restaurant was spotless with beautiful decor and excellent service. We had the garlic brioche and it was served warm and was really big and delicious. We also had the west coast oysters (fresh and creamy), miso sable fish (flavorful and buttery) and grilled fresh prawn (also fresh). Of course, the lemon tart dessert and cocktails were excellent and perfectly presented. For some odd reason, Riley’s does not have orange pekoe tea, and the noise level was very high because of many gatherings going on that night. Other than that, it was a perfect farewell dinner with my wonderful friend.
Beautiful experience here. Excellent service, beautiful interior perfect for a date night, girls night or birthday. The happy hour specials are such a good deal! These oysters were only $1.75 each and they were so plump, sweet and creamy. Clams were delicious sauce was perfectly seasoned, and so was the chowder! I finished the chowder is 2 seconds. The Wagyu carpaccio was good I just wasn’t a fan of the red sauce, it reminded me of a ketchup/marinara which was too strong and overpowered the flavour of the Wagyu. I also did not love the foie gras butter. I love foie gras but the foie gras butter had a very pungent smell; comparable to fermented shrimp paste. Total was just over $250 (before tips) with 2 drinks and 6 shots of tequila.
We ordered the king platter for my husband’s birthday. My husband told me it’s the best seafood restaurant that he’s been to in Vancouver! I agreed. The service was outstanding right from the door to the table. Our waiter, Rio was so sweet and made us feel so welcome. Even the manager of the restaurant visited our table to say hi. He was very friendly and even cracked a few jokes. Thank you to everyone who made my husband’s birthday so special. This will definitely be one of the restaurants that we will regularly patronize. Also the garlic bread was so yummy!
Nestled in Coal harbor Vancouver... Rileys is a special restaurant for sure! Food is top notch fantastic! Service is great and Atmosphere is pretty good. Steak and fish are definitely the specialties in house. If your looking for a great dinner out... this is it! Just kinda pricey so be Prepared for the bill. Highly recommended. 👍
