A disappointing experience relative to the price point. Things started well enough with cocktails and a tuna dish. The crispy duck salad was also good (just lacking more orange to cut through the strong umami). Things fell apart fast with the prawn dish: undercooked and the kitchen missed a few veins (no excuse for this at this level). The paring of oily chorizo and prawn was also a head scratcher. Those textures and flavours did not work well together. The meatballs were also a miss. Mushy and in a very plain, very Olive Garden-esque tomato sauce. The short rib was extremely oily and didn’t bring much in terms of flavour. The servers were also seemingly inexperienced and the dinner was very rushed. They seemed pre-occupied with turning the table over as fast as possible (despite the fact we had reservations) and toward the end were flinging our dishes at us before we were halfway through our current one. This restaurant is charging two to three times what its food is worth. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Amazing experience here! I came in during a busy rush, but we were seated surprisingly quickly and the service was impeccable from start to finish. The absolute star of the meal was the buttermilk fried chicken - crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I’d come back just for that alone. Everything else we tried was also excellent. The salads tasted incredibly fresh, while the pizza and pasta were both satisfying and well-made. You can really tell care goes into every dish here. Overall, this place is absolutely worth the price, not just for the food but for the outstanding hospitality as well. Huge thanks to the staff for such an amazing dining experience - I’ll definitely be back!

As an Italian, I can be very picky when it comes to Italian food, but Nightingale truly impressed me. Every dish felt thoughtful, fresh, and extremely well executed. A special thank you to Elena, our server, whose service was excellent from beginning to end. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The beetroot salad with whipped feta was very original and very well balanced. The spaghetti alle vongole was packed with flavour and came in a large portion, although we opted for the smaller one. The crudo dishes: yellowtail and hamachi were insanely fresh. The crispy sweet potato dish just melts in your mouth with that delicious sauce. The ricotta pasta was absolutely flavourful and paired perfectly with our wine. The arrabbiata sauce once mixed with the ricotta and basil concentrate just converts the dish into something heavenly. The atmosphere, service, and quality of the food all made for an outstanding dining experience. We will definitely be returning. For a 6:00pm seating the entire place was full.

We didn’t come in with super high expectations—but Nightingale honestly impressed us. It was our first trip to Vancouver and also our anniversary, so it made the night feel even more special. Big thanks to Garren, our server, who was amazing throughout the evening—very kind, attentive, and made everything feel smooth and enjoyable. The beetroot feta salad was really unique and well balanced. The milk-fed butter-fried chicken was crispy, tender, and full of flavor, and the braised beef was rich and perfectly cooked. We also tried the Foccaschia, and finished off with the cheesecake! The atmosphere, service, and food were all top-notch. Even at 9:00pm the place was completely full, which says a lot. Definitely a spot we’d come back to next time we’re in Vancouver.

@kimtrieuhomes Nightingale was such a lovely dinner spot - cozy, beautiful, and the food was SO good. The al dente pasta with clams and jalapeños? Flavorful, a little kick, and perfectly cooked. The wood-fired Margherita pizza? Simple but delicious. The crispy juicy fried chicken? Kid-approved and honestly adult-approved too 😆 And can we talk about the fries with house-made mayo? Why was the mayo that good?! Our server was super professional, attentive, and made the whole dinner feel even better. Highly recommend saving Nightingale if you’re visiting downtown Vancouver!
