Honestly disappointed overall. We all ordered the biggest menu with the wine paring. The entrees were very good and the oyster delicious. The fish was good too but the main (the wagyu) was very firm. The salad with was extremely salty and hard to eat. The dessert was original and delicious. We truly did not enjoy the wine except from the red. For a mitigated experience it was very expensive. Nevertheless, the service was excellent, amazing waitress and the ambiance was very good too.

We went for the $115 Feast set menu. Delightful flavours and textures. The flatbread had the most amazing aroma and chew. The yellowfin tuna escabeche was another standout. We were too full to finish all the beautiful crunchy yet fluffy spuds - an unusual phenomenon for a carb addict like me! The dessert was a light and beautiful finish to a wonderful meal. Attentive service throughout. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Dined with a large group on the set menu, it’s understandable as the restaurant policy but if we could have a clear explanation to change our main course or add extra main to accommodate all the guests. This season menu dishes came out a bit oily. The fish itself is fresh, nice and juicy but it doesn’t go well with smoked yoghurt. Waygu steak was chilling temperature when it came out, also lacked balance. Surprisingly, I was not asked how I would like it cooked at all. Our waitress section with her skills to take a large group drink order without taking notes or confirming the order, then it messed up and missed couple drinks. We have to pay extra 10% for service charge. Unfortunately, the experience to dine with a large group was very disappointing.

8/10. NOMAD provides refined meals inspired by Spanish, Moroccan and Middle Eastern cuisine. What I didn't expect is enjoying the appetisers more than the entrées. We had a lot of dishes so I'll just discuss my favourites. The 'Wood fired pine mushrooms' were extremely tender to the point where they could be cut with a spoon. The dish was also this experience of "what will I get next?" as the mushrooms looked the same as the pork cheek, giving an ever-evolving eating experience of having the tenderness and earthiness of the mushrooms, and the meatiness of the pork cheek. This was well-balanced with the refreshing sauce. I also really enjoyed the 'Wood fired flatbread'. I've never had za'atar before but the bread itself was extremely fluffy and airy, with pockets of char that gave brittleness and bitterness that contrasted with the crispiness and heaviness of the za'atar. However, there are a few dishes I believe can be improved on. I felt that the gaminess of the 'Great Ocean Duck kofta' was lacking, resulting in the loss of the distinctiveness and enjoyment of duck meat. Otherwise... I just thought it was okay, nothing too impressive. The 'Dry aged pork cutlet' was also just slightly overcooked and lacked funkiness of dry age. Additionally, I felt that there was an overusage of acidity and bitterness - the treviso, sauce and apple all had some form of this, which didn't allow for much resting room. Overall though, NOMAD has some incredible food and is definitely worth trying, especially for the appetisers (which I know is quite funny to recommend).

Really amazing food. Every dish was full of surprises, great flavors and execution. The cuttle fish with spicy oil and sweet creamed corn was fantastic. The wood fired carrots and the lamb were amazing, and I cook and bbq a lot of lamb. Service was particularly friendly and loved the busy but relatively quiet vibe. Views of the kitchen in the back were fun and appetizing. This is a high end restaurant that would do great in NY or Toronto but was still fairly priced for a dinner with drinks and dessert.
