La Esquina Guatemalteca: A Family Kitchen From Huehuetenango

La Esquina Guatemalteca opened in 2018 as a genuine family project. Owner and chef Silvia Cano learned traditional Guatemalan cooking from her mother-in-law and carries those techniques directly to Jupiter, rooting the menu in recipes from Huehuetenango, Guatemala.

Traditional Dishes Done Right

The menu centers on Guatemalan staples made the traditional way, including tortillas made fresh daily. Signature dishes include La Parrillada, a grilled-meat platter with chimichurri shrimp and carne asada, Pepian de Pollo — Guatemala's national dish, chicken simmered in a rich seed-based sauce — and Costillas de Carnero, seasoned lamb chops. The kitchen also turns out Shuco (a Guatemalan-style hot dog), homemade tacos, empanadas, and taquitos.

Weekly Specials and Catering

Rotating $10 specials give regulars a reason to come back throughout the week, including Taco Tuesday and Empanada Wednesday. Beyond the dining room, the Cano family runs the Guatamigos food truck for private events and offers catering across Palm Beach County, along with dine-in, takeout, and delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats.
