Coast Seafood: A Mother-Daughter Seafood Spot in Downtown Lake Worth Beach

Sunday 30 August 2026·By Coast Seafood

Tucked into the historic Paradise Building on South J Street, Coast Seafood brings a fresh, family-run take on coastal cooking to downtown Lake Worth Beach. The restaurant is helmed by mother-daughter team Blair Jones and Lexe Leeman, who took over the space once occupied by Da Vine Fusion Tapas Wine Bar and reimagined it around a seafood-forward menu.

From Catering Kitchens to a Storefront on J Street

Jones brings decades of hospitality experience to the venture, having run a catering business in Delray Beach for 30 years and served as executive chef at the Colony Hotel in Delray Beach for nine of those years. That background shows up on the menu, which leans on daily fish specials built around whatever comes in fresh, often finished with touches like a tomato artichoke broth or a creamy asparagus risotto. Jones sources her seafood through Independent Seafood in West Palm Beach, a supplier she credits with consistently excellent product.

What's on the Menu

Guests can start with tuna poke or shrimp ceviche before moving on to ahi tuna tostadas, crab cakes, a blackened shrimp po'boy, or seafood salad rolls loaded with lump crab, shrimp, and lobster. Steak and chicken options round things out for non-seafood eaters. The restaurant doesn't yet pour beer or wine on-site, but it operates as bring-your-own while the team works toward a beer and wine license — one more sign of a small operation still finding its footing in a beloved building.

Good to Know

17 S J St, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33460. The owners say they were drawn to the neighborhood's artsy, Key West-like character, and positioned the restaurant as a natural complement to the nearby Bamboo Room — a fitting home for a kitchen built on family experience and a genuine love of fresh seafood.
