From a Single Northlake Storefront to Seven Locations

Rick Davis and Chris Sallen opened the first C.R. Chicks in Northlake, Palm Beach Gardens, on November 4, 1992, built around a simple idea: bring fine-dining quality food and service into a casual, counter-style restaurant. A glowing 1993 review from the Palm Beach Post's food editor sent business surging almost immediately, and the founders followed it up with now-signature items like the chicken salad sandwich (1993) and chicken breast sandwich (1994). By 2001 the chain had grown to five Palm Beach County locations, and by 2024 it had expanded to seven, including this Wellington spot.
